Ramblings of an old soul

 Integrety for its own sake
Back to Full Blog

My grandfather told me when I was just a high school student that a person who has no integrity is just an empty shell of a person without character.

People who lack integrity can lie without thinking about the consequence of their actions. People who lack integrity can make false promises with the internal knowledge that they will not even attempt to make those promises come true. I am reminded that Hillary Clinton, in a speech several years ago said "my mother named me after Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person to successfully climb Mount Everest. He successfully conquered Mount Everest in 1953 and was Knighted soon thereafter. If Hillary Clinton had been telling the truth she would have had to be born after the Knighting.

Now lets see, how old is Hillary Clinton, 60? Well, she was born October 26th 1947, 6 years prior to Sir Edmond Hillary being Knighted.
That makes it quite impossible for her to be named after Sir Edmund Hillary. It seems like a small point, but what drove her to lie?

The lack of personal integrity, made it possible for her to make a statement that was clearly a fabrication. When a person doesn't have integrity they have no clear intra-personal guidance system to force them not to fabricate things about themselves.

Presently, she is saying that she is uniquely qualified to be President of the United States of America. I ask, why so?

After the Terrorist attack 9/11/2001 on the UN towers, she co-sponsored legislation to give money to the family members of those killed in the attack. The record shows that the next legislation she co-sponsored was in 2004. What did she do for her pay check during the three years that there was no forthcoming legislation.

If she is uniquely qualified to become President, I wonder how her lack of leadership in the Senate shows that to be true. You would think that a Senator who is uniquely qualified to be President would have been elected by her peers in the Senate to a leadership position in that body.

HMMMMMM, another lie perhaps!
