Ramblings of an old soul

 The Nowhere Man And Me
Back to Full Blog

A moonless night and a chill filled the air
Watching the stars because no one was there

Alone in the dark ‘neath a cloudless sky
Wondering about the lonely reason why

A love I can’t find is somewhere I am sure
Beneath the same moonless night so pure

He is the no where man out there on his own
Waiting for someone like seeds that are sown

Waiting for the flower to grow from the seed
To fulfill all the dreams of those who need

Where the vacant lives of those without love
Cry out in the night to the heavens above

Why me, am I unworthy of what I cant find
Is there someone out there or just in my mind

Will he come to me and hold against my breast
And give my lonely soul some solace and rest

Or will I forever be just a sorry and lonely one
Here waiting for the rising of the morning sun

Beneath the scape of the starry moonless night
Waiting alone for the nowhere man with fright

That he may never come this way to ever see
That what he is waiting and wishing for is me

Well - you do have to find each other - and you can't do that sitting on your couch in your living room in front of your TV. Some people think they will find true love there - you have to go and mix in the public - follow your interests, etc. A recent study said that many people were finding their future mates in the grocerty store..

Next movie title: "Finding love in the vegetable section"

Hopefully you've experienced true love during your long life.
I enjoyed reading this poem and the 57 items in your profile.

RAVEN - UMMM - WATERY EYES YOU BRING TO ME AS I THINK OF THE MANY LONELY SOULS IN OUR CITY TODAY; I KNOW SOME OF THEM WILL BE WITH US HERE TODAY AND HOPEFULLY THAT WILL HELP ENCOURAGE THEM ON THEIR WAY IN LIFE. BLESSINGS AND I PRAY THAT YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD TURKEY THANKSGIVING DAY. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR WIRTINGS, JUNE

I felt this lonliness before,
we all need to feel wanted and loved.
We are better off alone than matched to the wrong person,
cruelty and selfishness makes lonliness better.
The poem is lovely, thanks for the share.

Raven aka Daddy, I am glad to have your poems mean so much to me. It seems as if you have known my inner thoughts your whole life.

I know how my children think and will act before they do. I feel that you have this ability to do so with me with your poems.

Whenever I feel really down and in need of a father that understands me; I pop over and you are always there for me. You have no idea what that means for me.

Love Beth aka your BS daughter.

Raven

What a heartfelt poem - cold nights - being alone - that is sad for all of us that have ever been there.
