Ramblings of an old soul

 The latest turn of events

Here I am at age 75 so pumped up over life that I can hardly believe it.
Nothing in life's rules says that you can't do better after retirement age than before.

I have embarked on a journey to improve peoples health one person at a time. I started a young woman on my products about a month ago and she is already down from a size 18 to a 12 and she is elated. Another of my customers was living a life of lethargy, no energy, no pep and 65 pounds over weight. She has lost 30 pounds and tell me that she has more energy than she has ever had. If you want to see the results of my products you can type the following into your address bar ( results44.com ) If you would like to have more energy or take off some extra weight you can e-mail me and I will e-mail back to you my phone number. You can get healthy and stay healthy if you really want to.

Thinking seems to be absent in liberals

What does liberal mean? Here is the dictionary definition. a. Open-minded, tolerant. b. Favoring civil and political liberties, democratic reforms and protection from arbitrary authority. 2.a. Tending to give freely; generous. Synonyms: liberal, bounteous, buntiful, freehanded, generous, handsome, munificent, openhanded.

Antonyms: Stingy B. Abundant; ample. 3. Not strict or literal, approximate. Of or based on the traditional arts and sciences of a college or university curriculum. Noun,A person with liberal ideas or opinions.

I submit that liberals of today do not know how to think clearly. Here are my reasons; 1. Virtually every economics class in our colleges teaches that you cannot borrow yourself into prosperity. Modern liberals are completely ignoring this fact. 2. In the true meaning of liberalism, one is tolerant of other people's ideas. When the liberals got hold of congress in 2008 they would not even let the Republicans bring any amendments to the floor for a vote. Also, the Republicans were not allowed in any of the meetings regarding health care. 3. The modern liberal believes it is O.K. for someone to get something for nothing. Just go back to the 60's and read writings of the liberals of the time and you will find none of that thinking. Even as liberal as Clinton was he still signed the welfare to work program into law. If liberals could think properly, they would be working to keep our population off the welfare roles and creating an environment where hard work and perserverence paid off.

When any legislation puts in jeopardy our right to private property, our right to privacy, and endangers our pursuit of happiness, the proponents of the legislation are not thinking clearly. "Obamacare"
was found unconstitutional on the basis of "the citizen cannot be forced by government to buy anything. Many unions and others have been given an exemption. Anybody ever here of the 14th amendment to the constitution "equal treatment under the law' If that amendment would be in force, anyone who wanted an exemption could have one.
Some people just don't know how to think.

How to make Social Security Viable forever.

Sunday, 27 February 2011

My fellow Americans. This is a tongue in cheek message.

There is no way I could be serious in posting what I am going to post here.

However, the following suggestions would make U.S. Social Security Viable forever.

1. Take the warning labels off of all dangerous products

1a. Allow no lawsuits for the damages resulting from removing warning labels.

2. Use the power of the government to encourage people to smoke cigarettes and use other tobacco products:

2 a. Do not treat anyone for lung cancer caused by smoking.

2b, Do not treat anyone for cancers of the mouth, brain or other cancers caused by tobacco use.

3. Abolish seat belt laws

3a. Do not treat anyone for injuries caused by them not using seat belts

4. Abolish motorcycle helmet laws

4a. Do not treat anyone for injuries caused by people not wearing a helmet when riding their motorcycle

5. Raise the speed limit on all federal highways to 90mph.

5a. Do not treat anyone for injuries caused by automobile accidents that happen at speeds above 55mph

6. Accidents that are caused by pure stupidity are to be deemed the fault of the person who was in the accident.

6a. Do not treat anyone for injuries caused by their own stupidity.

6b. Allow no law suits against anyone owning any company, corporation, or property when the person involved

in a self inflicted injury due to their own stupidity.

7. Illicit drug use:

7a. Do not treat anyone for injuries or other life threatening situations caused by the use of any drug that has

been outlawed, like heroine, cocaine, methamphetamines and any other illicit substance.

8. Where signs exist like "enter at your own risk" or "do not go beyond this point",

"access denied", "no diving from

this bridge" etc. etc. etc.

8a. If a people ignore the signs, do not rescue this person or persons

If we let all these people die their untimely deaths, then the smart, careful and prudent will survive but there will be a lot fewer

people to take care of after the age of 65.

I realize that there will be a lot of people who will hate me for the above suggestions, but if there is anyone out there that can

suggest a really good method for solving our Social Security crisis then let them speak up and write their congressional representatives.

 The Tuskegee Airmen

This poem was written to honor the WWII Pursuit Squadron number 99. made up of all black American pilots who were trained in separate facilities because at the time the army air corps was segregated.

"The Tuskegee Airmen"

Early in the year of nineteen forty one Congress passed a bill
And set into motion the Army Air Corps forming a group of men

All young black men trained in Alabama to fly fighter planes
Pursuit Squadron ninety nine, was what they were back then

They set out to prove they could be as good as any of the pilots
Who flew combat aircraft just like their white skinned brothers

The obstacles they faced were more than could be expected there
With pride in their country they fought side by side with others

They flew their dog fight missions in Europe’s war torn sky
And never shirked their duty, not even in the slightest way

Success was truly theirs as a part of a gallant fighter wing
Though they lost some of their own their bravery was to stay

P fifty ones and forty sevens protected the bomber wings
Over the dangerous skies of Europe they all bravely flew

Guarding the lives of those who had slighted them
The bomber pilots, their aircraft and their crew

Up in the sky above the war torn earth they climbed
To out maneuver the German pilots that they fought

Proving themselves every mission against the very best
The Luftwaffe had, it was always a victory they sought

Though it would have been easier to have given up
Not one sign of cowardess did any of them ever show

It was predicted that they would turn from the battle
But instead they gave the enemy a very decisive blow

So my friends, let us give them the honor they deserve
For the service they gave to us in the skies over there

We have the privilege now to give back to those airmen
The appreciation they have coming from we who care

And for those who gave the full measure of devotion
To a country filled with prejudice but a future grand

We say thank you for your gallantry in both battles
And we are so eternally grateful that you took a stand

And stood up for America when America needed you most
Took all the slander and overcame the blatant hate

By proving to all naysayers that you could do anything
Anyone else could do, and above all, do it really great

 Gallows humor

Gallows humor poem

At the gallows the hangman stood
With his hand on the piece of wood
The trap door below that it releases
Is of simple design it has two pieces

And the hangman recites a simple verse
For the criminal to hear he did rehearse
His words would ring in the criminal’s ear
He spoke loudly enough for all to hear

“You did the crime for which you knew
That this is what would happen to you
And now you’re here at this destination
So we complete the task without hesitation”

He pulled the handle and dropped the dope
And the criminal fell to the end of his rope

How’s that for "poetic" justice
